This week, hydrogen has made racing history. That and more right now. Hi, I'm Steve Hill, CEO of NewHydrogen, with this week's top hydrogen news.
First up, hydrogen racing just went from dream to reality. The world's first FIA Extreme H World Cup wrapped up in Kadia, Saudi Arabia, marking a true milestone for clean performance. Eight international teams took to the desert in the new Pioneer 25 hydrogen racer, each powered by a 400 kW fuel cell system. When the dust settled, Kevin Hansen and Molly Taylor came out on top, making history as the first champions of hydrogen motorsport.
It's proof that hydrogen isn't just a clean fuel, it's a powerful one. Extreme sports need extreme energy, and that's where hydrogen shines. NewHydrogen is developing Thermal Loop, a breakthrough technology that uses water and heat instead of electricity to produce the world's cheapest clean hydrogen. Cheap, clean hydrogen at scale will energize not just motorsport innovation, but the world's industries that depend on it every day.
Next, hydrogen is reaching new heights. A team at Toshiba and Airbus has unveiled a superconducting electric motor cooled by liquid hydrogen designed to make hydrogen-powered aircraft lighter, faster, and more efficient. It's an encouraging step forward in the race to make zero emission flight both practical and powerful. On the ground, hydrogen is changing the way people travel. Stoddler Rail will build the first hydrogen-powered trains for Sicily, running around Mount Etna, where electric lines aren't practical.
These new trains will offer quiet, efficient, zero emission transport, showing that hydrogen is moving from concept to real world deployment. Hydrogen is showing up everywhere, from racetracks to airports to train stations. But to truly scale, the world will need cheap, clean hydrogen. That's the future we're working toward right now at NewHydrogen. NewHydrogen is a publicly traded company.
